Duke Realty Corporation has leased a total of 351,000 square feet to Baltimore-based Ace Logistics. JLL’s Peter Hajimihalis and Ben Meisels represented Ace Logistics in the two transactions, while Duke Realty was represented in-house by VP Battista Orcino and by CBRE’s Justin Mohler.
The two transactions at Duke’s Chesapeake Commerce Center in eastern Baltimore include a renewal of Ace’s existing 169,000-square-foot lease, and a deal for a 182,000-square-foot build-to-suit that Duke will develop on the adjacent site. With the construction of the new BTS facility, Chesapeake Commerce Center will be fully developed and its seven buildings fully leased.
“These leases are indicative of the advantages Chesapeake Commerce Center offers in terms of first-class warehouse space, complemented by superior access to I-95 as well as convenient access to the Port of Baltimore,” said Orcino. The center was developed on the site of a former General Motors assembly plant.
