Extell Development Company unveiled its first East Harlem commercial development. Branded Harlem Headquarters (HHQ), the new nine-story, 441,600-square-foot office building will be located at 180 E. 125th St. A Cushman & Wakefield team led by vice chairman Robert Lowe will market the property.

“We’ve been looking to develop a project in Harlem for a long time and now is the time,” said Gary Barnett, Extell’s chairman and founder. “We have a world-class team behind this transformative commercial project and are confident it will not only meet but exceed the needs of today’s office tenants.”

Designed by Gensler, HHQ is one of Harlem’s first new ground-up office buildings. The building will be marketed to a variety of office tenants, ranging from government agencies to TAMI companies.

Lowe said HHQ represented “an ideal choice for tenants seeking new construction in a convenient location at an exceptional value.”
