FBI Declares San Bernardino Mass Shooting Was Terrorist Attack

Several days ago, married couple Tashfeen Malik and Rizwan Farook carried out a shooting spree at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, leaving 14 people dead and wounding 21 innocent victims. After the attack, officers killed both of the culprits in a violent shootout. The FBI has released a statement that this was a terrorist attack, and not another case of workplace violence.

Recent findings have discovered the couple’s links to ISIS through a “pledge of allegiance” on Facebook, but the details are still being investigated and the post has since been removed from the site.

After the couple reportedly fired 65 to 75 rounds of ammunition in the crowded conference room, they fled in a Ford Expedition, leaving behind a bag of explosives. Fortunately, the bombs malfunctioned and did not explode.

Following the attacks, there was a bomb scare at the hospital where the victims were taken, but it was quickly dismissed as being a false threat.

Police found a large amount of explosives and ammunition in the couple’s home, along with evidence that the two killers were trying to destroy any electronic evidence like cell phones.
