Federal Realty Breaks Ground on $200M+ Santana Row Development

Rockville, MD-based Federal Realty Investment Trust broke ground on 700 Santana Row, a 284,000 square-foot office building in San Jose, CA. The more than $200-million project is set on a signature plaza with a sweeping design that anchors one end of Santana Row, Silicon Valley’s iconic mixed-use neighborhood.

The state-of-the-art, eight-story concrete structure on Olsen Dr. features 30,000 and 48,000-square-foot floorplates, modern architecture and HQ-quality office environment. 700 Santana Row, which features a 15,000-square-foot roof-top terrace and garden, will be ready for tenant build-out in Q3 2018.

Federal Realty’s Jan Sweetnam says, the project “is a ‘capstone’ building that takes full advantage of being the visual book-end to Santana Row. No other office building will have this unique, commanding location.”

Newmark Cornish & Carey’s Randy Gabrielson, Todd Shaffer, and Tracey Solari are handling leasing at 700 Santana Row.
