An 85,000-square-foot lease signed by Federal Express Corp. is resulting in construction on Phase II of Austin’s Park 183. Trammell Crow Co. and Clarion Partners are developing the business park, and construction on the newest phase is scheduled for completion in Q4 2019.
Park 183, at Burleson Road and U.S. 183 in Austin’s southeast sector, is a multi-stage business park that, upon buildout, will hold 900,000 square feet. The under-construction building will be FedEx Express’ customer service center and delivery facility, and will replace the company’s current 36,154-square-foot facility at 5811 Technicenter Dr. Leasing was handled by CBRE’s John Barksdale and Darryl Dadon, and by Dale Clemments of Fischer & Company.
TCC and Clarion have completed design and submitted permits for Phase III, which will consist of two Class A industrial buildings, totaling approximately 300,000 square feet. Construction is scheduled to begin in Q2 2019, with delivery scheduled for Q1 2020.
