Ferber To Develop 70-Acre MXU Project in Jacksonville

Privately-held real estate development and investment company Ferber Co. has announced plans for Durbin Creek Crossing, a 70-acre mixed-use development in Jacksonville.

Plans for the development, which is located at the intersection of Race Track Road and St. Johns Parkway in St. Johns County, include up to 250,000 square feet of new retail. The initial tenant line-up includes a 19,000-square foot ALDI, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits, First Florida Credit Union and Tire Kingdom.

Jacksonville-based engineering firm England-Thims & Miller assisted with the environmental plan at the project, which includes a 30-foot, scenic edge along Race Track Road. Additionally, a 6.5-acre pond will serve as a focal point of the future residential community, while also providing an enhanced setback from the St. Johns Parkway right-of-way. The remaining 22 acres of wetlands at the southern portion of the site will serve as an environmental buffer.
