Draper and Kramer has hired Jacob Vial as SVP in the company’s commercial finance group, overseeing FHA/HUD lending for multifamily and senior housing properties. Based in Chicago, he will serve as chief underwriter for all credit decisions and direct strategic financing initiatives.
Vial (pictured) rejoins Draper and Kramer, where he was a VP from 2008 to 2014, from PGIM Real Estate Finance, where he was most recently a director and FHA deputy chief underwriter for senior housing and healthcare loans. Before that, he was a VP at Capital One Multifamily Finance.
Todd Bancroft, Draper and Kramer’s president and CEO, cited Vial’s “outstanding track record in FHA/HUD loan underwriting.” Noting that the firm has been an FHA-approved lender since 1937, Bancroft added, “Jacob will help us continue that tradition, not only in servicing our third-party clients, but also in collaborating with our acquisitions and development team to finance our own investments.”
