Aliso Viejo, CA-based FivePoint is partnering with Live Nation Entertainment on a proposed 12,000-seat outdoor music amphitheater adjacent to the Orange County Great Park in Irvine, CA. The pair hope to open in time for the 2017 summer season, though a conditional use permit is pending City of Irvine approval.
The interim venue is planned for roughly 45 acres of property owned by Heritage Fields El Toro, LLC. The amphitheater would provide music enthusiasts an alternative to Irvine Meadows, which is slated to close this month.
FivePoint’s Emile Haddad says that music helps build communities, noting that live, outdoor music has been a “part of Orange County’s heritage and it is essential to its future. We’re determined to keep this tradition alive by working with Live Nation to develop the next-generation, outdoor music venue in Irvine.”
