The town council of Flower Mound, TX granted approval to Realty Capital to proceed on its $1.2-billion Lakeside Village development. The 35-acre development, situated west of Lakeside Parkway and along Lake Grapevine, will feature retail, restaurants, offices, hotels and residential areas.
Lakeside Village will connect to the 150-acre Lakeside DFW, another mixed-use project in this suburban Dallas town.
Though the town council approved the project, many Flower Mound residents are concerned, due to the proposed height of several residential towers and the increased density coming from those residences. To prevent Realty Capital from building all residential and no commercial, a stipulation was added limiting the number of residences in the development’s first phase.
