Former Church in Logan Square Trades as Apartments

In its second Logan Square transaction in as many weeks, Essex Realty Group has closed on the sale of 2900 W. Logan Blvd., a circa-1906 church converted into a nine-unit multifamily property. The purchaser, a private investor, paid approximately $4.33 million. The seller, a venture of JAB Real Estate, purchased the property in 2017 and completed an extensive restoration earlier this year.

“2900 West Logan Blvd., is a truly unique property in a fantastic location,” said Essex Realty’s Jim Darrow, who represented the JAB venture. “The sellers did an amazing job restoring the exterior of the church to its grand past, while transforming the interior into spectacular apartments with soaring ceilings, incredible leaded/stained glass windows and over-the-top high-end finishes.”

Darrow and colleagues Jordan Gottlieb and Jordan Multack represented the seller. Essex Realty’s Brian Kochendorfer, Brian Karmowski and Troy Beebe negotiated for the buyer.

Connect Texas Multifamily will take place August 15, 2019 in Dallas. For more information, or to register, click here.
