Former Houston’s Restaurant in Buckhead to be Turned into High-Rise

The Ardent Cos. has acquired the former Houston’s restaurant at Lenox and East Paces Ferry Road in Buckhead for $6.2 million. The developer plans to build a dense high-rise project at the nearly one-acre property.

The former Houston’s restaurant closed two years ago and sits across from the Lenox MARTA station. Current zoning allows for a high-density project with uses that include office, retail, restaurant, apartments and hotel.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic played a role in the sales price, which was less than half of what the property had been marketed at in recent years, according to media outlets. The site had previously generated interest for a new Ritz-Carlton residences and hotel.
