Former Oakland Redevelopment Agency Leader Joins Colliers

Colliers International expanded its team in the East Bay with the addition of Gregory Hunter. He joins Colliers’ Oakland office following 16 years serving in the City of Oakland’s development and planning department.

Hunter’s focus will be on brokerage services, including the leasing and sales needs of office, retail, and industrial clients in Oakland and the larger East Bay.

In his role as Director for the City of Oakland Redevelopment Agency, Hunter directed many of the public and privately funded projects that helped shape today’s face of Oakland.

He worked to expand the city’s facade and tenant improvement programs, which helped lease more than 250,000 square feet of vacant commercial corridor space. Hunter also played a role in bringing grocery stores to underserved areas, and served a pivotal role in the development of more than 100,000 square feet of newly constructed retail.
