The former site of New York’s Tribeca Film Festival, a 115,000-squre-foot building, is under contract for $90 million to the Vanbarton Group, a private real estate investment company. Vanbarton’s plan is to develop the property at 17 Laight St. into a mixed-use office and retail facility.
The seller, a partnership between WhiteStar Advisors of Boca Raton, FL and VE Equities, paid $56 million for the former warehouse in late 2012. They bought the tenants out of their leases, including the Tribeca Film Festival.
