Fourth Houston Hopdoddy Coming to Heights

Austin-based Hopdoddy Burger Bar will be opening its fourth location in the Houston area. The restaurant will occupy 4,000 square feet in the Heights Waterworks redevelopment project, which is being overseen by Braun Enterprises. Frank Seely of Austin represented Hopdoddy in the lease. Other locations are in River Oaks, Rice Village and Vintage Park Shopping Center.

Houston-based Braun is developing the historic Heights Waterworks site into a restaurant strip at West 20th Street and Nicholson. Ascension coffee shop was the first announced tenant for the project. The company is building an additional 5,000-square-foot building on the 2.1-acre site, which it purchased from Alliance Residential. Alliance, which acquired the three-building waterworks in December 2016, still plans to develop two midrise apartment buildings adjacent to Braun’s project.
