Fred Segal signed a 22,000-square-foot lease to anchor the ground floor retail component of Los Angeles-based CIM Group’s 8500 Sunset. The flagship store will feature its eclectic mix of premier retailers and distinctive Mansard awning with signature striping at the 190-unit residential development that includes two eight-story towers and roughly 42,000 square feet of retail.
Fred Segal Sunset will offer a collection of brands across the major retail categories, including fashion, accessories, fragrance and beauty products, beauty and health services, furniture and home interior items. Also planned are a cafe by San Francisco’s Tartine, a fitness studio, salon, wine shop, a florist and an indoor/outdoor restaurant created for Fred Segal by LA restaurateur Bill Chait.
NGKF’s Jay Luchs represented both CIM and Fred Segal in the deal.
