Fort Worth City Council Gives Zoning Nod to Two Hotels

The Fort Worth City Council voted unanimously to approve zoning changes for two new hotels in the northeast sector of the metro. The go-ahead means Victory at Heritage LLC can develop a Marriott TownePlace Suites and a Hilton-branded property within 24 acres at 9813 and 9835 Chloe Creek Dr.

At issue was that the land is adjacent to residential areas, in which homeowners initially proposed construction of the hotels. Following petitions submitted by the Tehama Ridge Homeowners Association, the developer, which is a subsidiary of Victory Real Estate Group, rearranged the site plan. The changes include shielded parking lot lights and trees for additional screening.

The developer needs to acquire city building permits before construction can start.
