SQH Sports & Entertainment is working with the city of Corpus Christi to develop a $25 million sports complex on 68 acres near the city’s Crosstown Expressway. The San Antonio developer is lining up funding from an investor group, with plans to break ground as soon as summer 2017. Once completed, the complex would offer baseball, softball and soccer fields, a multi-use indoor center and a sports-themed restaurant.
The acreage on which the complex will be built is owned by the city. SQH Sports will also management the complex once it is open. According to SQH Sports CEO Brent Statzer, everything should be ready to go within the next 6-9 months, including utility improvements.
