GI Partners, a San Francisco-based private investment firm, has acquired two properties from NTT DATA totaling more than one million square feet. The properties include the tech company’s headquarters campus in Plano, TX, and its data center in Quincy, WA. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, although the buyer did reveal that NTT DATA has leased back the properties on a long-term basis.
NTT DATA’s headquarters campus, which exceeds one million square feet, includes two data center facilities, leasable office space, and an owned, expandable on-site substation, which facilitates market-advantaged power rates and further data center development.
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with NTT DATA and expanding our data center footprint in the Dallas metroplex,” commented Mike Armstrong of GI Partners.
The Quincy data center is unique in that runs on 100% “green” hydroelectric power. Built in 2012, the 180,000-square-foot building features redundant infrastructure including 14 MW of gross utility power.
