The Goldie Initiative recently celebrated commencement for 15 Goldie Scholars completing graduate school at regional universities this spring, with a virtual luncheon attended by 70 individuals involved in the organization. Launched in 2007 at Roosevelt University by renowned broker Goldie B. Wolfe Miller, the Goldie Initiative is a leadership development program for women pursuing C-level careers in commercial real estate.
Miller said of the May 13 commencement, “I was overwhelmed by the participation in our year-end celebration – we had more attendees at the virtual event than we ever had at our in-person luncheon! I am very proud of what we have built, reported to be the largest scholarship program of its kind in the country.”
During the commencement ceremony, Miller interviewed Sheli D. Rosenberg, the organization’s 2018 Goldie Gala Shero award winner. The two also fielded questions from Goldie Scholars in a discussion moderated by Megan Abraham, the Goldie Institute’s executive director.
“This group marks the largest group of Goldie Scholars that have we have graduated in one year,” said Abraham. “We are amazed at their accomplishments so far, and look forward to following their career paths as Goldie Alumnae.”
