It may not be November 2016 yet, but if you’re in the Bay Area, you can still get out there and vote.
Google’s Impact Challenge is going to divvy up $5 million along with a co-working space at Impact Hub Bay Area and access to Google volunteers between 10 non-profit organizations.The people of the city get to vote on how the funding is divided between the top nonprofits that were chosen by a high-profile advisory panel.
Designed by 72andSunny, residents can find these “digital” posters at BART platforms, bus shelters, sporting events, food trucks, and other social gathering hubs. The top four nonprofits will receive $500,000 in grant funding, and the other six will get the remaining $250,000. Also, 15 more local NGOs will receive $100,000. Cast your votes by October 20th as winners are announced on October 21st.
