Ground Breaks on $1.5B Riverline in Chicago

Construction has begun on Riverline, a massive development consisting of residential high-rises, townhomes and a public river walk on the Chicago River, just south of the Loop. The $1.5 billion, 14-acre development is the brainchild of Lendlease and CMK Cos., and will take approximately 10 years to build.

The first phase of Riverline will include a 29-story rental building, an 18-story condominium, and 62 townhomes. Once completed, the project will consist of eight high-rises and townhome complexes totaling approximately 3,600 units.  In addition to the river walk, plenty of green space will also be on hand.
