The Habitat Company was awarded property management of Metropolitan Tower, a 234-unit luxury condominium building located at 310 S. Michigan Ave. in the Loop, effective July 1. Widely known as Chicago’s first high-rise, the 30-story Metropolitan Tower was originally home to office space and converted to condo in 2007.

“With its neo-classical architecture and distinctive blue beehive beacon, Metropolitan Tower is an instantly recognizable stalwart of Chicago’s famed skyline,” said David Barnhart, VP of condominium management at Habitat.

“This landmark residential tower, which offers protected views of Grant Park and Lake Michigan from its prime location on Chicago’s Cultural Mile, is a jewel in Habitat’s growing condominium portfolio,” Barnhart added.

Brian Whitlock, president of the board of directors of the Metropolitan Tower Condominium Association, said, “We are looking forward to establishing a valuable partnership with Habitat to provide turnkey building oversight to superbly serve Metropolitan Tower’s residents and commercial tenants.”
