Historic Union League Set for Renovations

J.C. Anderson Inc. has been selected to complete renovations to the first floor of the Union League Club of Chicago at 65 W. Jackson Blvd. Among other renovations, the historic club’s ground-level windows, currently blocked with exterior displays, will be opened for the first time in its history.

Scheduled for completion in May, the construction will include the addition of a coffee bar and casual lounge, which will double as an open, wi-fi-equipped workspace for ULCC members. Over the years, the club’s members have been credited with playing a role in establishing many of the city’s major cultural organizations, including The Art Institute of Chicago, Orchestra Hall, the Auditorium Theater and the Field Museum.

The construction team for J.C. Anderson is led by Anthony Douglas, Adam Scheitel and Ryan Kingsmill. Chambers is providing the architectural services.
