Home sales in the San Antonio metro decreased by 1% to 3,306 in June 2019. However, the average price ($284,852) and median price ($241,000) were both up by 6% and 4%, respectively, according to metrics released by the San Antonio Board of Realtors (SABOR).
The number of days that a home spent on the market rose two days from the year before. Meanwhile, inventory was at 3.8 months. Six months of housing inventory is considered a balanced market.
Interestingly enough, more sellers put their houses on the market this summer — SABOR reported that there were 700 more active listings in June 2019 than there were in June 2018. The majority of homes that sold were priced between $200,000-$500,000.
