Home2 Suites by Hilton Proposed in Carlsbad

A proposed three-story, 142-room business hotel on a graded, 3.8-acre site near McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, CA received a thumbs up from city planners. Home2 Suites by Hilton would be the first in California and the second hotel within the 215-acre Carlsbad Airport Centre.

Rancho Santa Fe, CA-based Royal Hospitality Carlsbad is the local company proposing the hotel. Carlsbad’s Planning Commission must approve a specific plan amendment and conditional use permit for the project before City Council consideration.

The midlevel, extended-stay lodging brand is for business and leisure travelers. Hilton’s opened more than 100 Home2 Suites properties nationwide.
