Work environments are continuing to evolve as companies seek to improve employee morale, productivity and well-being, while doing all they can to attract and retain the best people. The shift away from private offices and walls to open plan workspaces has introduced a new CRE term, creative office.
The form and function these spaces take is subject to interpretation, and there’s vast degrees of variation. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all model, and there’s even been some push-back surrounding how far to take creative workspaces.
But for those who thrive in environments that push the envelope, top companies such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Adobe offer a wide range of fun activities. That includes swinging around in a gym, playing table hockey, pool or foosball, singing karaoke, visiting a secret speakeasy or a rooftop garden with your dog.
