Howard Hughes Gets Zoning Nod for 261-Acre Monarch City

The Howard Hughes Corp. (HHC) received zoning approval for Monarch City, a 261-acre, mixed-use development project in Allen, TX. The approval means HHC can move forward on development of a walkable, urban community, that will have approximately 10 million square feet of office, residential, retail and hospitality development upon its completion. Jeff Eckert and James Esquivel with JLL are handling leasing for the development.

Monarch City is sandwiched between U.S. 75 and SH 121, approximately 15 miles north of Dallas, and five miles south of U.S. 380. In addition to commercial real estate space, the project will provide a network of parks, plazas, water features, pollinator habits, and trails connecting to the Six Cities Trail System.

A construction timeline has not yet been announced.
