Hudson Pacific Properties, Inc. plans to commence restoration work this month at the iconic San Francisco Ferry Building. The project will include repairing portions of the building’s façade, which have deteriorated due to natural weathering, as well as repainting the exterior.
Hudson Pacific and Allianz Real Estate acquired the more than 120-year-old Ferry Building in a JV in October 2018. The stewards of the world-renowned landmark envision preserving the historic features of its Beaux Arts design.
Hudson Pacific Properties’ Drew Gordon says, “We are eager to start on this restoration work to ensure all its historical features are preserved well into the future. We share a commitment with our partner Allianz to highlight the building’s original character, and to contribute to the revitalization efforts of the Embarcadero and the San Francisco waterfront.”
The phased restoration project will span two years, though is not expected to disrupt daily activity at the property. Architectural Resources Group (ARG) will oversee the work.
Connect Direct-to-Consumer is coming up this month at San Jose’s Santana Row. Get more information and register for the September 26th event on this link.
