Hudson Yards Gets More Top Chefs

More celebrity chefs have signed up for space at Hudson Yards. Chef José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup will debut a unique new Spanish concept, in creative collaboration with the brothers Chefs Ferran and Albert Adrià.

“Exceptional dining experiences are extremely important in curating not only the restaurant collection, but the new neighborhood we are creating,” said Kenneth A. Himmel, restaurateur and president of Related Urban, the mixed-use division of Related Companies, which is developing the 28-acre mega-project with Oxford Properties Group. “We wanted to ensure we offered a diverse array of global cuisine and experiences that catered to our residents, employees and visitors’ lifestyles.”

The restaurants will mostly fit in the development’s one-million-square-foot “Shops & Restaurants,” opening in late 2018, anchored by Neiman Marcus and designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects. The developers are planning 25 restaurants at the site, including:
– a classic American restaurant from Chef Thomas Keller
– a new concept from David Chang’s Momofuku
– Greek seafood restaurant Estiatorio Milos from Chef Costas Spiliadis
– a modern brasserie concept from D&D London
– and an American Grill concept from Chef Michael Lomonaco
