San Diego-based Hughes Marino is making tenant improvements on an existing 40,000-square-foot, two-story building, which will house research labs and office space at BioLegend’s new eight-acre campus in Miramar, CA. The San-Diego-based global biotech company, which manufacturers antibodies and reagents, acquired the site to expand its corporate HQ and increase research labs, office space, and order fulfillment capabilities.
Phase 1 work is expected to be completed in October, which will allow BioLegend to begin a phased relocation out of its current facility in Sorrento Mesa. Additional project phases are envisioned over the next three years, with the entire campus slated to be completed in late 2019.
Hughes Marino’s construction management group is handling the design, permitting, bidding and construction of improvements, as well as government entitlement coordination.
