International Insurance Group Relocates to 801 Tower

Tokio Marine HCC signed a roughly 32,000-square-foot lease at 810 Tower in Downtown Los Angeles. The international specialty insurance group committed to an 11-year deal in the 25-story, 462,626-square-foot tower at 8th and Figueroa St.

The company will relocate from space at 601 S. Figueroa St in May 2017. Built in 1991, 801 tower features a distinctive crystalline-green glass spire and polished pink granite façade with sawtooth window line.

Savills Studley’s Mike Catalano and Luke Raimondo represented the tenant. Cushman & Wakefield’s John Eichler and Tyler Stark represented the landlord, Barings Real Estate Advisers and its institutional investor partner.

“We are seeing more companies embrace the “live, work, play” lifestyle that 801 Tower and its immediate South Park neighborhood define,” said Eichler.
