Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG), one of the world’s largest organizations of advertising agencies, signed a major office lease in Century City. Represented by Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, this transaction marks the largest office relocation to Century City in a decade.

The deal is for an 11-year, 150,000-square-foot lease at The Plaza that will take up eight floors, as well as ground space, making IPG the largest tenant. The Plaza’s towers are at 1800 and 1840 Century Park East, and IPG will have signage rights for the 1840 building.

Henry Kobrin, an executive managing director at Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF), said that this location will increase IPG’s brand visibility. NGKF helped IPG consolidate several of its different ad shops into 145,000 square feet at the Pacific Design Center in 2004.
