James Beard Makes HQ Move Within Greenwich Village

JSN Properties has brokered a 5,000-square-foot office lease of the last two floors at 34 W. 15th street for the James Beard Foundation. The tenant is a national nonprofit culinary arts organization named in honor of James Beard, a prolific food writer, teacher and cookbook author who was also known as the “Dean of American Cookery.”

The foundation has been in its previous space at 167 W. 12th St. for over 30 years. It needed to relocate within Greenwich Village to a new headquarters within a few blocks of the James Beard House, the former townhouse of its namesake, where it hosts over 200 events annually. “This made 34 W. 15th a very logical choice,” said JSN owner Jeff Nissani (pictured).

Nissani represented the property’s ownership. Brett Maslin and Matt Raphan of Adams & Company represented the tenant.
