Joan Fallon Joins CBRE Global Investors as Independent Advisor

Los Angeles-based CBRE Global Investors appointed Joan Fallon to serve as an independent investment committee member for the Americas region. Fallon, with more than three decades of investment experience, will be responsible for providing an objective third-party perspective in the evaluation and approval of major investment decisions for the Americas funds and separate accounts.

CBRE Global Investors’ Vance Maddocks said, “We believe having an independent investment committee member is critical to our investment process, because it enhances our objectivity and reinforces our efforts to deliver exceptional performance to our investor clients.”

Fallon, who retired in 2014, started her career at TIAA-CREF in 1980, where her responsibilities covered both equity and debt investing. She served as a special assistant to the Chairman, designed the TIAA Real Estate Account, a commingled real estate fund, and served as its first portfolio manager, overseeing its growth from $100 million to more than $5 billion.
