Kyle City Council Paves Way for 763-Acre MXU

The Kyle City Council’s creation of a public improvement district has brought the reality of the 763-acre, mixed-use Pecan Woods closer to fruition. The city council also approved the development agreement with Walton Development and Management (USA) Inc.

Pecan Woods’ acreage is partially located in Kyle’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, approximately 10 miles south of Austin. Under the provisions of the agreed-to PID, Pecan Woods wouldn’t be annexed into the city of Kyle, TX for at least 20 years.

The current plan for Pecan Woods includes single- and multifamily residential units, as well as commercial and office development. There is no start date for the project.
