For nearly 20 years, Aisha Thomas of AJT Law has worked tirelessly developed her array of skills to ensure that her career grow in leaps and bounds. In 2013 she established herself in the commercial real estate industry, cultivating, developed, and refined her knowledge in buyer agency as well as investment sales to stand out among her peers. She acquired her real estate broker license in the states of Michigan and Georgia and obtained her salesperson license in the state of California.
For the past five years Thomas has been able to actively apply her skillset, assisting Quest Community Development with acquiring over $250k in capital funds, and has offered pro bono landlord-tenant services as a volunteer with Atlanta Legal Aid Society and Georgia Housing. Her passion for affordable and fair housing has led her to prominent roles within the city of Atlanta, specifically with the Federal Affordable Housing Programs for the City of Atlanta’s Department of City Planning, ensuring that they are meeting developer compliance.
Thomas ensures that her time is never wasted, serving as a member of numerous professional, education and civic organizations to better her community, such as the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Women’s Affordable Housing Network, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, Gate City Bar Association, ICSC, and the American Bar Association. More recently, Thomas graduated in the Class of 2020 Urban Land Institute Atlanta’s Center for Leadership and earned the Certified Commercial Investment member designation.
It’s for these reasons that we named Aisha J. Thomas to our inaugural grouping of Lawyers in Real Estate. These are real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in both their practice and the larger community.
