Dan Reitz is a partner at Graydon Law in Cincinnati and has served as head of the firm’s real estate law department as well as the head of corporate law. Recognized five times as aRising Star by Ohio Super Lawyer magazine, Reitz reportedly has a strong commitment to client service and to understanding clients’ goals.
Reitz’s practice focuses on commercial real estate law, including the acquisition and disposition of real estate, the negotiation of office, warehouse, retail and other leases, and bank financing, as well as general corporate law.
Representative matters include acting as lead counsel in the sale of a college campus including real estate, personal property and academic programs; the development of a $35-million office/retail complex which included air rights and TIF components; the negotiation of a 126,000-square-foot office lease and numerous charter school leases; the creation of a residential condominium; and acting as lender’s counsel in numerous commercial loans.
Reitz is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). His accreditation, along with several other Graydon attorneys, makes Graydon one of only a few law firms in Ohio with multiple LEED APs on staff.
Based on the grading and comments of his peers, Reitz is recognized with an AV Rating, the highest rating given to lawyers by Martindale-Hubbell. He has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for his work in Real Estate Law.
It’s for these reasons that we named Dan Reitz to our inaugural grouping of Lawyers in Real Estate. These are real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in both their practice and the larger community.
