Legoland Adding 250-Room Castle-Themed Hotel

Legoland California Resort plans to develop a second hotel at the Carlsbad, CA park. A 250-room castle-themed hotel is set to break ground this month, and is slated to be completed in spring 2018.

The new three-story hotel includes an outdoor swimming pool and a full-service restaurant and gift shop. The design incorporates elements that reflect a castle’s towers, drawbridge and other elements.

The hotel was approved last year and joins a similar-sized Lego-brick-themed hotel, which opened in 2013. Expected to add roughly 250 jobs, it will be built west of the park’s existing hotel’s main entrance off Legoland Dr. near Cannon Rd.
