The Lone Star State – An Unsafe State?

The state of Texas is known for many things: Longhorns, job growth and traffic construction. One thing it’s apparently not known for is safety.

According to a report released by WalletHub, the Lone Star State ranked 48th out of 50 states, when it came to issues such as “Personal and Residential Safety,” “Financial Safety,” “Road Safety,” Workplace Safety” and “Emergency Preparedness.” The end result is the Texas score of 39.22 (Vermont, which was ranked first had a total score of 66.02).
