A Look at What Apartment Renters Seek

The National Multifamily Housing Council released an infographic from their research report, identifying what apartment renters seek most. From a top line view, there are about 38 million apartment renters across the nation, which represents an increase of 1.6 million people over five years ago.

Here’s their order of importance for amenities:
1. parking
2. pool
3. fitness center
4. secured access
5. recycling

Some interesting facts that affect related sectors include:
1. apartments typically receive 100 packages per week
2. 72% of renters want a secure delivery area
3. 87% are not willing to pay for a secure locker

And, one more fun fact: 33% of renters own a pet
