There appears to be a break in a possible Los Angeles grocery strike.
The Teamsters Union has reportedly reached a tentative agreement with Ralphs, Vons and Albertsons that would avoid a strike by 8,000 workers involved with dairy, driving, manufacturing and warehouse functions. A union vote will take place October 16-18.
The union had decided to strike after last month’s contract expired. The organization is hoping for better wages, hours and working conditions.
