It seems that apartment rents in the Los Angeles area have decreased. Median rents in the city have dropped to $1,700 for a one-bedroom apartment, a 5.6-percent drop versus a year ago, while those with two bedrooms fell 3.8 percent, to $2,500.
This is information according to research firm Zumper. The most expensive place to rent, apparently, is Downtown Santa Monica, at a $3,160 median per month. Next is Marina Del Ray, at $2,520.
Los Angeles is behind several other cities when it comes to apartment rents, though. New York City, Boston, San Francisco, San Jose and Washington, D.C. are among some of the metro areas with higher median rents.
