Grosvenor Americas, SummerHill Homes and Eden Housing’s proposed North 40 mixed-use development in Los Gatos, CA continues to progress through the public review process. The initial phase includes 320 units of housing and 66,000 square feet of retail on more than 40 acres.
The specific plan for the project was approved last year, but now the project plan is running into community resistance. The Los Gatos Town Council is seeking more information, before reviewing the project again on Sept. 1.
The overall specific plan allows for up to 580,000 square feet of CRE space, 364 housing units and 358,035 square feet of open space. Phase one encompasses 190 row homes, 77 condos and 50 affordable senior living residences above the 16,000-square-foot market hall retail space.
The land is largely owned by the Yuki family, and is Los Gatos’ last working orchard.
