Lululemon plans to build a more than 580,000-square-foot headquarters in Vancouver, Canada. The proposed 13-story development in the False Creek Flats, at 1980 Foley St., continues to move through the city’s approval process.
The new facility, designed by Morphosis Architects, would be four times the size of its current 130,000-square-foot Kitsilano HQ. The design features a central atrium space with landscaped terraces that brings light into the building, and serves to connect various elements. The 2.7-acre site is near two transit connections in the works, either SkyTrain’s VCC-Clark Station or the future Millennium Line extension station.
The facility is envisioned as a Store Support Centre, and will allow the athletic clothing company to combine four offices and about 2,000 employees around Vancouver, including the existing HQ at 1818 Cornwall St. The company expects to grow to roughly 4,000 employees by 2032.
