Luxury Apartments in Historic School

April 10, 2017

United American Land finished 25 elegant new apartments at The Livingston Collection, where Brooklyn Heights meets Downtown Brooklyn.

Built in 1878 as the co-ed Central Grammar School, the building at 76-78 Court St. was once the first free public secondary school in the New York metro area. “Rich history imbues this coveted Brooklyn address with a classic timbre,” said Ideal Properties Group’s Aleksandra Scepanovic.

Redevelopment added two new floors to the historic exterior. The two and three-bedroom apartments feature high ceilings, stainless-steel appliances,  exposed brick and finishes by Porcelanosa Gama-Décor. The lobby shows off a chandelier designed by star architect Zaha Hadid. Rents start at $3,300 a month.
