Construction started on the second phase of a $750-million, 37-story residential project in DTLA. Los Angeles-based Mack Urban and AECOM Capital partnered together to develop a series of high-rise towers on six acres in South Park.
Located at 1120 S. Grand Ave., the development includes 512-units of residential, as well as 10,000 square feet of retail space at the street level. The contemporary glass and steel 400-foot tower was designed by A.C. Martin and Togawa Smith Martin.
AECOM’s team is co-developing, investing in, and providing construction and design-related services for the development. Subsequent phases of the site at 12th and Grand Ave. include a proposed mid-rise building at 12th and Olive St., as well as two other development sites on 11th St.
