Madison Partners inked a 15-year, 154,000 square feet lease on behalf of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in El Segundo, California. Taking space at 777 Aviation Boulevard, the lease represents the largest year-to-date for office in the South Bay.
The FAA will house its new west coast headquarters in the 309,000-square-foot building, which was sold, fully vacant, by Madison Partners to a joint venture between Embarcadero Capital Partners and Westbrook Partners in 2015. The three-story building was originally designed by renowned architect, Craig Ellwood, in 1968. However, SOM Architects was selected by the partnership to completely renovate both the interior and exterior of the building.
Madison Partners’ Bob Safai, Tony Ranger and Joe King, along with Colliers’ Kurt Stout, represented the owners.
