Kirkland-based MainStreet Property Group LLC secured USGBC’s LEED Platinum Certification for The Bond, a new multifamily building in downtown Redmond. Featuring 139 apartment homes in two Northwest-inspired buildings, the community is located at 6160 East Lake Sammamish Parkway NE, across from Marymoor Park.
MainStreet’s Kelly Price says, “From day one, the building’s name, The Bond, meant a connection with sustainable building aspects, and it’s nice that this was recognized with a Platinum designation. This achievement is also a testament to our contractor, GenCap Construction Corp., and our property management company, Insite Property Solutions, for jobs well done.”
The building’s numerous eco-friendly elements include energy and water-efficient features such as energy-efficient windows and LED lighting; indoor environment measures and eco-friendly materials such as FloorScore-certified flooring and CRI Green Label Plus carpeting; native growth and saving 75 trees; high walkability and cutting-edge sustainable fitness equipment.
