Major Student Housing Proposed for Dogpatch

The University of California, San Francisco is looking to build some large student housing developments in the Dogpatch neighborhood, near its Mission Bay campus.

The university is apparently looking for space on Minnesota that could accommodate about 1,000 students.

UCSF is not the only potential developer looking for space in Dogpatch. There are at least five multifamily projects hitting the area, and several retailers and restaurants are circling it.

The university opened a $1.5-billion medical center in neighboring Mission Bay recently, and Uber is moving its headquarters to that part of the city.
