Makers Quarter, Major Downtown S.D. Mixed-Use, Unveiled

Makers Quarter, a more than one-million-square-foot mixed-use project planned for Downtown San Diego’s East Village area, was unveiled by the joint-venture group L2HP.

In addition to the over one million square feet of office space, hundreds of residential units and boutique retail are also planned for Makers Quarter. The three developers working on the project are Hensel Phelps, HP Investors and Lankford & Associates. Construction of the first residential building, Broadstone Makers Quarter, is expected to begin this fall, while offices are planned to start going up this coming spring.

L2HP hopes the offices will attract the coveted Millennial workforce, strengthening San Diego’s image as a city that embraces culture, creativity and cutting-edge innovation.
